Ello everyone,

Just got on this forum being reffered by Baron210, I do believe he is a newbie himself, I was in the Cerco 601L 4 week fast track course with him (CCSN) and also one of Cerco's successors. I am currently employed only after 3 days of graduating with Cerco, brilliant course and I can't fault it, well the network week is a lil stressful and rushed but apart from that, I am very happy with the course, took it in the London facility in Barbican and was real easy access for me to get to! Anyways just thought I'd say hi to everyone!

I'm fairly new too, what is the CCSN?

 

CCSN stands for (Cerco Computer Systems and Network) course, entry level IT qualification for Microsoft OS, hardware, basic networking infrastructures and a few other bits and bobs. Their lil claim to fame is that after you take Cerco's course they'll help find you a job and get you going within 6 months. And not just something that is totally unrelated to computers, it'll be based on more or less what the course evolved around.

Hi George and welcome to the forums,
I did my Cerco Cert alongside George, Great guy and excellent sense of humour, I'm sure he'll go far!
I've had some responses from them (Cerco) as regards employment, but i've really been trying myself to get that important first job, and I had an interview with a small to medium airline at Gatwick, so far, but dont yet know the result, but the one job I really fancy, is subcontracting for IBM on hardware (new build PC's and breakfixing), and some EPOS and ATM work + network support, for which I have an interview scheduled soon.
Cerco are trying to fix me up with employment with Siemens/Nixdorf servicing EPOS too, something i'd definatly like to get into.
Glad you've got your "foot in the door" George, We'll definately make a date in the city 4 a beer in a year (17th)...

Once again thanks for the welcome everyone and thanks for the plug Martin, hope all goes well for you matey and hope you get a jobby quickly, I know I won't be leaving any time soon as I want to get my pension! And my ultimate goal is being about to take the Network Security + course, would love to be in that field one day. I've spoken to Michelle and Andre (for those who don't know they're our classmates) and Andre has been busy as hell being a on site support and pimpin' with the local ladies at the Carphone Warehouse main building in North Acton contracting with Ikon, and Michelle landed a job with some company down Basildon I think as a field support eng. Still havn't heard from Sam though.....as much as I like that fella he sometimes work as slow as a 14k dial up connection! LOL Anywhos thanks for the welcome again lads!
