I've just started a MCDST course involving me studiing the IC3 course doing the compia A+ course and then studing and getting my MCDSt including all materails exam (retakes), weeks B&B at dudley and CV and job hunting help and advice

all in £2500 i don't think this is bad!

just have completed studing module A of IC3 and found it to be very basic but brushes up my knoweledge and sets a foundation,

any one else do this course set up and how did you find job ops after getting these 3 certificates? R they good ones to have(too late now i've enrolled :blink )

It's a case of alway working on friends and families computer install and upgrading bit also very useful on windows XP :)

Ic3 is a basic xp, appilication and computer understanding quailification to set a good foundation before A+ and MCDST

looking at going higher in the quailifications, doing a full time job at mo as a security guard working 48 hours a week for about 16000 before tax a year so any thing is better than that.
    :(
wish i started when i was 18 now 21 and hoping for abrighter future!! bit more mature now so will help me on my way to studing and finding a job at the end. :biggrin

would a good It quailifications be good base to emigrate to australia or Canada? really not liking england at mo!! no offence!

Well I think moving to Australia is certainly a good idea 8) However, you need to make sure that any qualifications you decide to get are recognised here or in Canada. The CompTia A+ N+ are and so are the Microsoft and Cisco certs. But I am not sure about IC3, I doubt it. Also City and Guilds are not recognised here as they have their own tech colleges TAFFE etc.
