I'm new to all this, looking to study a certificate of some kind as I work as a computer operator and can see myself either forgetting everything I've learnt or it becoming irrelevent. Thought I'd come on here and ask some opinions from people who know.

You are a Computer Operator? Tell me, what does that involve? The more background about your experience and interests that we have the easier it will be for us to help you.

 

I work at an internet bank currently. Its very broad, I use Windows and Unix but neither to a great extent mainly our work has been simplified into menus so we don't have to actually know anything. We do however have to monitor for areas over the whole network so we need to know what everything is/does but don't necessarily get to fix anything. I'm very much an applications person although I've done A-Levels Computing and IT so I've touched on most topics, just nothing in great detail. Hope that helps. Basically I know a little about a lot.
