Hi everyone!

This is my first post on CertForums (or any forum for that matter!). I stumbled across your site whilst researching MCSA/MCSE courses, and I'm really glad I did! I've found some great advice already, especially about the potential pitfalls of using IT training companies (Yes, I've already had a couple of visits from salesmen, sorry "career advisors", who very nearly sold me very expensive & unsuitable courses).

I'm from Stoke-on-Trent, currently unemployed and unemployable after being made redundant, so I'm thinking about retraining and doing a compTIA A+ and N+ course as a way to get into the IT industry and get a new career going - but I'll probably take the self-learning route to start with!

That's about it for now, but no doubt you'll be hearing from me again soon...

As you have no doubt figured out all certs can be done by self study no need to waste the cash you don't really have on a course.
