The Electronics giant Sony has sparked a major row over animal cruelty and the ethics of the computer industry.

In an attempt to promote their new game Gods of War by using a freshly slaughtered goat.

    What do you think? :blink

Do these violent games have an effect on people?
Would you want to slice off a goats head and then eat its insides, just because you played gods of war:rolleyes:

I don't know... he might have a point. Winning the Champions League two seasons in a row with Rushden and Diamonds in Football Manager 2007 makes me really feel that I have what it takes to succeed as a top-level football manager :biggrin :blink

    Good point.

    getting back to the topic:-

Would you buy Gods of war after seeing the promo?

I am sure there must be other ways of advertising a game?
I remember seeing Call of Duty and Medal of Honour on TV. I was so amazed at the graphics in the game I bought it the next day.:biggrin

Fact is, nobody probably would give a damn. If the game is good, then gamers will buy it regardless. If the game is bad, then Sony can hire an angel from hollywood to bring the goat back to life, and the game still wouldn't sell.

    I dunno,

if i remember correctly i think i bought plenty of dodgy games when i was a young lad, just on the impulse that it looked good.

I remeber getting home, putting it on and thinking to myself, ' you idiot! '.

Then again, that was pre-google days and i couldnt just 'google a review' back then. You had to fork out a weeks money for a magazine !!

God i feel old now. :D
