At last I have finished the book..........PHEW!!! I have to say it was quite an experience. now I just have to do get some practice questions done and then save up some pennies and get the exams booked. I think I have managed to find an exam centre here in Aberdeen so no doubt they will be hearing from me very soon. still so far I havent found any place that's charging less than £100 per exam...as I aint sure I really wana spend £200 altogether...so any help or advice will be most welcomed guys...

*now where's Trip when you need him?*

the exams have a set fee, they dotn change wherever you do them
you can sometimes get discounted vouchers, but exams in general have a set price (different vendors/exams are different prices, but that price is set at all centers)

CompTIA exams, although being the less specialised are usually the most expensive.

You just have to pay the going rate, i've just paid £146 for the IT Project+ exam i'm taking tomorrow, pricey but the price you pay !!

    Good luck :D

Just been looking at the Security+ exam, looks like its currently at £166.

    Why is CompTIA so expensive?

Your find the CompTIA exams are more expensive than the MS, or Cisco and probably most other vendors.

I think its something to do with the fact that they are generic and aimed a "newbie's" so to speak so they probably feel they can rip us off! :D

I took Server+ and it was £166, Project+ is £146 and the A+ are like £124 or something......!

    Ouch....
