We had the first of our small group sessions last night. Since the uni cancelled our class due to insufficient numbers, and it looks like the next sessions will be too, a couple of us decided to sign up for a private class. With only three of us, its a lot more intimate, its expensive though, almost twice as much as the public class.



The bonus though, is that, as you can see, we started on the Hanzi. woot. Only covered a couple of initial characters (and not nimen as printed above, so not entirely sure if its correct).

Cant remember if I mentioned this before but this is quite a good site for Chinese characters. Particularly because, once you are looking at a character, theres a link at the bottom of the page called 'Animated', if you click on it, it shows you how to draw the character. Such as this (note that the characters, when they appear, jump in the direction they should be drawn in)
