    Interesting read Nelix, when I first read about this type of activity such a XDCC on IRC I wondered how easy it was. After reading a few artilcles on the net it all sounds so easy. Downloading port scanning software and scanning for blank administrator password is the first step then some remote control software to place the files needed to intall and run ftp software as a service, dump some files on the PC then off you go. Not that I'm going with this activity but just highlights the need for constant review of your network security and the implications of poor network managent.
