    For those of you that don't know, I'm on the committee for the Northampton Branch of the local Sea Cadet Corps and I've been invited to raise some cash this weekend for the people who suffered in London this week (DEEP RESPECT).

    So Where do you think I'm off to????

    Edit: Going with 10 Cadets and 4 other members of Staff

    Maybe the little 'uns were going to hand out posters saying that AJ would streak around the circuit (the opposite way), unless each of the 100,000 visitors all paid £10 each ?

    Would be the fastest million ever raised :biggrin

    Hey there is nothing shamefull in selling cookies for a good cause. Would be better than taking them to a pub and teaching them to pick pockets while you have a cold one. :dry

    Nope just going somewhere tomorrow and after a concert will be rattling buckets to get some money for those who need help.

    Ok Gav was right, we have been INVITED to go over to Silverstone to watch the Grand Prix. Tradition holds that after the GP there is a concert, at which some of the drivers take part, I know Damon Hill played guitar and Eddie Jordon the Drums a few years ago. We are then rattling buckets and collecting for the afore mentioned cause after the concert. :D

    And there was me thinking that you were all going in the "passenger" seat of a Sea Harrier and the Pilots were doing their best to make you sea sick (and they are REALLY good at that, speaking from personal experience)– there is sponsorship on how long it would take before you or one of your charges was violently ill in the nice wee bag they supply!

    Had a great day in the sunshine. Was walked through the gate and through the tunnel that leads to the Paddock in the centre of the track. Just missed tha start but saw the rest of it walking around the track.

    At the concert we waded through the crowds collecting money in buckets. I was with 2 other cadets and between us we filled nearly 15 buckets with cash. Some people were very generous (someone put a £50 note into the bucket) and others put in what they could afford. I think we must have collected £1000's, but all for a very good cause.

    Pity about the result, but what more could you ask for - a day at one of the UK's sporting highlights of the year, and fund-raising for the greater good with your cadets.
