What Sandy said. Like the Nike people are fond of saying in their ads..."Just Do It!" :D (only one big grin...I'm not as expressive as Sandy)

LOL ! Thanks a million, you Guys - I really appreciate all your kind wishes

Nothing like putting a bit of pressure on a Guy, is there ???

Aach, well - I'm off to do some last minute stuff - apparently you need to know about something by the name of the Ozzy Model and Ports ??? I've got a useful magazine with some pics of Sydney Harbour in it - that should teach me all I need to know,,,,

    And the result was ..........

    PASS !!! 833 from 900.

Harder than I was expecting, as I had revised with the old version of Transcender, not the new revised ones, but got there in the end.

Will post more later - need beer NOW !!! :morebeer

Thanks again, all of you - you sum up just what CertForums is all about- help, support and beer !!!

@Sandy - I don't think you caught me out once with your questions, did you ? Thanks for taking the time :thumbleft

Advice for anyone about to take the exam would be:

    i) Have up-to-date Study materials and check for revisions made to exams.

ii) Read and know the exam objectives (check www.comptia.org). This exam in particular did EXACTLY what it said on the tin :!:

Well, I'm gonna have some more beer (just got back in from dinner'n'beer out), but I gotta work tomorrow  So, I reckon it's party time after that (until the 70-218 book arrives, that is ...)

Cheers again, you lot :onthePC :deal

Thanks, Andy and Trip, and to all of you once again :P

No work tomorrow, so I'm now partaking of all those not-so-virtual beers you poured me yesterday, and "virtually" celebrating with my CertForums buddies :alc :cheers2 :brancard

One wee tale from yesterday's events...

I arrived at the train station in good time for the train to Glasgow (the Test Centre is 50 yards from the station - perfect). But while waiting for the train, I hear a message over the Tannoy that it has been delayed indefinitely at the stop before mine, awaiting Paramedics for a passenger on board.

"Inconsiderate @*&££%$" :cussing , I think - given that I've only got 10 min after arriving to sign in, etc. So I phone the Test Centre, who respond -

"I'm sorry, Jak, but you've only got 15 min lee-way, or you need to re-book" (i.e pay again in full). "But if you like, I can have the head of Bookings call you back ?" Please, I squeaked, as all life drained from me.....

Then I get a call back from a wonderful Andrea :angel

"Thats fine, Jak - I've spoken directly with VUE, and explained your circumstances. They have given clearance for you to arrive for the exam whenever you can make it - we will keep a place clear for you till then"

In a way, it had a positive affect on me, as I didn't get a chance to stress about the actual exam, just about how I was going to get to it !

Fate works in mysterious ways ......

How much does it cost :?: the N+ exam :?:
There's a good comparison with learning. For example I've just downloaded Java to my vm machine.I'm going to try and learn it.Although I have loads of work to do on mcse track, it does actually help me.It helps by distracting the mind from worrying about learning and to just get on with doing it and learning that way.If you do a few things at once then it fills your brain too much to worry about stuff. This is like what your saying with having to think about the train you didn't have time to worry, your mind was concentrated on facts and what mattered, worrying about not doing had no room. This is your brain prioritizing important matters.

Hope you see what I mean by this, I don't always make sense.

I understand exactly what you mean, Flex - deal with whats before you at the time - the rest falls into place. Distractions can often be a benefit.

    £100 according to CompTIA, £146 according to Nitlc :?: ? :?: ? :?:

Come back to me when you can work THAT one out :scratch
