:moan: :groan: "I can't believe I ate the whole thing".

For me at least, Thanksgiving dinner is now officially over. I barbecued my traditional turkey and took it over to the shindig held by some friends. Overate as usual (and I was doing sooooooo well on my diet, too). Now I feel as stuffed as the turkey. I received a pardon and was allowed to leave before the wife and daughter (I'm trying to catch up on some work), so I brought home some leftovers (not that they seem the least bit attractive to me just now) and put them away. Time to hit the keyboard again (though maybe a cup of coffee would be in order just now).

Tomorrow is "Black Friday" which means wild horses couldn't drag me near any type of shopping venue. A good day to stay in with a good book.

Well, turkey day is officially over and I'm depressed. Not about the fact that the leftovers are almost gone, but my daughter is. I just dropped her off at the airport. She wasn't ready to go back either. She was having too much fun with us and with her friends. In fact, I had to pick her up at a celebration bash and drive her to the airport. I can hardly believe she's already gone. Just last night, we were watching "Monsters, Inc." together (can you believe the girl who played the voice of "Boo" will be 12 in January already?).

I picked up her (my daughter's...not Boo's) dirty laundry and added it to the load I'm washing. Her flight actually doesn't leave for Seattle for another hour, but naturally, she had to get there early enough to check in and get through security. With her leaving and David in Iraq, it's a bittersweet holiday to be sure.
