    Hello everybody.
I am thinking about building up another system to use as a NAS and E-Mail server.
I will still be using my online hosting for my e-mail account, 123-reg and BT, so I am looking for some free, cheap mail server software that also collects e-mails from outside accounts. The main reason to this is that, between the wife and myself, there's almost 1GB of e-mails on my personal computer. I am thinking of having al this allocated to this new system, therefore freeing my system for other tasks. Webmail is a must.
    Any comments well appreciated.
    Cheers.

Spend £15 a year on a Hotmail account, it's what I do and all my mail is at the end of my phone, laptop or internet cafe.

I would recommend using something like Gapps. Well worth the money (£25 per year i think).

Another vote for G-Apps. Been running it for a couple of years now, just the free version. Never had any issues.

Excellent product - used it for 10 years with many clients and it's cheap

VPOP3 is good, actually became well known because exchange admins used to use it as a pop3 collector before the feature was available.

hmailserver is a good free server you could used it with a php or pearl scripted pop3 collector , you could use a windows port of fetchmail or PVE POP3 Collector which i have never used.

Zarafa CE would allow you to have 3 MAPI outlook accounts for free, web access and activesync z-push for mobile devices
