i'm trying to install a new font for a tatto i'm designing but when i try to copy and paste into c:windows/fonts it just says "cannot install font, download may be damaged" and i've tried this a few times with fresh d/loads.

i'm pretty sure the problem is, when i've d/loaded it and go to it, it is a zip file but when opened it goes to the generic "quick brown fox etc..." screen.

no other option for unzipping or anything.

    any clues folks?

In Fonts, have you tried 'File-Install New Font' ?

You could also try changing the file extension to a font file format such as '.TTF'.

Also, its not impossible for the file on the webserver to be corrupt itself.

Can you not unzip it first by using WinZip, Winace, Winrar or whatever? Then do as Neall suggested.

Ummm.... Just where are you downloading the font from? Do you know absolutely that the site is trustworthy?

haven't tried that yet neall, but will do. i thought it'd be as easy as copy-paste!

bluerinse, haven't tried winzip yet, erm... forgot really!

freddy, no i'm not 100% but didn't get any cookie path warnings, or anything and it "seems" to be legit.

here's the site of the font, and i'll try all suggestions after work. cheers guys!
