Fireworks v Photoshop

    Gotcha.

    Doing those layout mockups in Fireworks or Photoshop is one area I never see covered in any video tutorials or books on Web design. I have a couple of Total Training and Lynda.com DVDs for instance and haven't seen this important design process covered in any kind of detail, yet I hear most professionals take this step.

    It's one big advantage with the Macromedia package.
    You can design a page in Fireworks so it looks good and everything is in the right place. Then you can slice it up and export it to Dreamweaver to add all your code etc. It takes care of all the alignment etc.
    The only trick is to put your slices in the right place...
