I found this on another forum and after watching it found this pretty amazing. In this video an Isreali pilot has a midair collision with an A 10 on a training exercise. He doesn't realize it, but one wing is torn off in the collision. He flew his plane to the closest airbase and landed his plane successfully.

As to your post to Trip.... Well, I'm all for Isreal on this one. No nation in the world would, nor should they, allow a neighboring nation to harbor someone shooting rockets into its cities. As far as I'm concerned Isreal has every moral and legal right in the world to protect themselves from those whose sole purpose for living is to destroy Isreal.

Everyone wants to blame Isreal for the Palestinian's problems and for the Palestinians not having a homeland. I say, Bull puckey to that. If the Arabs really cared about their own people the Arab nations in the region could each easily give up a small amount of territory and a few of the billions of dollars from their oil income so their fellow Arabs could have a homeland, but they won't. They would much rather let their fellow Arabs suffer and play political games placing all the blame on Isreal.

 

I'm not sure how deep we should go into this. I have my convictions and beliefs but I don't know if CF is really the right place to express them. There have been reports both in biblical times and since the formation of the modern state of Israel of unexplained or supernatural forces aiding Israel in war. While this incident occured during a training mission as opposed to war, we can either accept that the F-15 in question violated the laws of physics and aerodynamics or we can suggest that the One who has protected Israel for millenia is continuing to do so.

Yes it is Gav but then again it is the lounge/off topic forum and what's going on in the middle east is of paramount importance and we, as adults should be able to discuss the issues without the conversation spiraling into a slagging match. Personally I know I could learn a lot from reading peoples various slants on the situation, I have already read things in this thread that have made me stop and just think. It's a shame to call it a day when the ball had just got rolling
