For the love of me, i can't seem to figure out how to give a user access to a public folder

I try looking under Exchange Management Console but i can't even locate the public folder =/

Please can someone point me in the right direction

You need to use The Exchange Management shell to apply perms from the Exchange server in E2K7. Yet another hint that MS wants people to ditch public folders and move to Sharepoint :biggrin

Here you go mate, I have built up a six page word document with Exchange 2007/2010 commands this is from the Public Folder section.

    Public Folders

    Add-PublicFolderClientPermissions -Identity "\Sales" -Accessrights PublishingEditor -User Sales01
    Enable-MailPublicFolder \IT – Server ServerName
    Get-MailPublicFolder
    Get-PublicFolderStatistics -Server ServerName
    Get-PublicFolderStatistics -Recurse
    New-PublicFolder -Name "IT"
New-PublicFolder -Name "IT Reports" -Path "\IT"
    Remove-PublicFolder –Identity \IT
    Set-MailPublicFolder \IT -EmailAddressPolicyEnabled $False
    Set-MailPublicFolder \IT -PrimarySMTPAddress [email protected]
    Set-PublicFolder –Identity \Accounts –ReplicaionSchedule “Sun,02:15-Mon.22:00”
    Update-PublicFolder –Identity Name

You can use Outlook as well for some admin if you have the required permissions.

Don't install it on the server though....

I did have a look within my outlook but the options to edit anyone permissions is grey out =/

It's like AD under windows XP, i can see account is locked but can't unlock account.

My account is Doman Admin, i have the exact same rights as another colleague of mine and he can change it but not me =/

    More to learn :)
