    Hi everyone.

We use MS Office 2000, one of users is having an Excel problem.

When they copy or cut and then paste information within Excel it says something in the region of:

    "Insufficient memory on the clipboard"

The machine is running XP Pro and has 512MB of RAM.

(This user has double the amount of RAM of any other user and they all work fine).

I have just re-installed office and as yet it hasnt happened again, but i have a feeling it will.

Any ideas? A setting wrong with office or something in windows?

Just wondering if anyone else has come across the same problem ever?

    Curious!!

    Cheers!

    Matt

Just a quick thought. Is it on any document or just certain ones. Does the workbook have a lot of charts/graphs in it, any prog running in the background.

I know its obvious, but if I didn't ask then Jak will. :D

Thanks for the tip, the document i saw the user using didnt have any graphs or charts in, just about 300 rows by 20 columns (or so!) of text.

But she may well of had other programs running, but only web browsers or generic software....

Does it happen the first time they try to copy/paste or after a while?

Is it possible that there is a limit on how much the clipboard can handle?

I believe it happens after a little while, a few copy and paste operations work ok, but it then starts to happen.

Is there a way to set or increase the clipboard limit? or to flush the clipboard as and when we need too?

I've never come across the ability to do either in my work with office or windows.....

    Cheers again!
