    Hello,

As suggested - a quick introduction to the world of me!

Im Karen, 27 year old girl from Kent. :)

I've spent most of my working life in insurance as a Fraud Investigator, however found myself spending most of my time fixing PC's! I left insurance and tried my hand at Sales, but hated that with a vengence and felt I had made the worst decision of my life in leaving a job I knew well.

However, it seems through all the stress and trauma, I have finally worked out what it is I want to do with my life, and that is to pursue a career in IT.

I had a 2 hour meeting today with Skills Train who suggested MCSE 2003.

I have a few questions that I hope people on here can help me with....these will be posted in the relevant sections.

I guess I'll be sticking around here for a while so I hope you are all friendly and welcoming!

    Karen :D

Hi Karen - great to have you with us. Have you been "lurking" for long, or have you leapt straight in ? Whatever, the Guys here (term used for male and female, I assure you) do "friendly and welcoming" very well, as you'll soon find out.

    Hope we can help :)

 I've used forums long enough to be frustrated with newbie questions that have been answered a thousand times!

Hi Zimbo - may I ask who you are doing your course with, and if it's not too personal, the total cost of your course? The course Im looking at incorporates A+, N+ and MCSE. Cheers for the tip though - another website to add to my faves!

    Hey Tripwire - let's hope I don't drown!

Actually, we both seem to be fans of the old Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck cartoons. In several different episodes, they go through this "Duck Season!" "Wabbit Season" bit, where they try to confuse Elmer Fudd as to which of them he's supposed to be hunting. Naturally, Bugs always ends up convincing Elmer it's duck season and Daffy always ends up being shot (with his bill usually being rearranged somewhere unnaturally on his head). :tongue
