Erp PSU

Hi guys,
I need to change PSU in my pc and mobo's manual says that I need to get Erp (or EuP= energy using product) power supply.
The problem is that these Erp PSUs are made in Europe and difficult to get.
If I get regular PSU, do you think it works??? My motherboard model is Asrock 970 Extreme by the way.

It appears the standard PSU wastes power in standby and during normal operation, that an Erp PSu does not.

Not sure if its 100% required, people run other motherboards with Erp support with non Erp PSU without issue, however your mobo says 'Erp PSU required' so its best to be safe.

If you really want use a non Erp PSU, why not write ASRock support and ask them ?
