hi all. as it's coming up to the time when i should be sending off my cv to prospective employers, i was just wondering a few things.

first is it a good thing to just send or apply for a job without knowing there is even one to be offered? i know researching the company first is a good step but would they just chuck it out if they didn't need it at that time?

second, is it worth detailing work in progress and certs which you would actively aim for in the future but obviously do not have at the moment.

    thanks in advance peeps, :tongue

No harm in sending out speculative letters also attach you cv to them. I'm not an expert as I to am hoping to break onto the IT scene in about a year, but if you put down that you are studying towards a cert and your learning path this would show motivation, a willing to learn and what type of asset you would be to them in the future.
