Nothing is easy or cheap in the UK, there's some truth to the phrase rip off Britain.

Depends how you approach it. Britain's a lot less rip-off now the value of sterling has plummeted

I only passed four years ago, and I don't remember that much 'red tape' on passing.

Had a few lessons, took my theory test, had a few more lessons and got my instructor to book the test for me. Sat the test, sent off the paperwork, back in a week or so.

A presenter is only a problem if you get pulled over

your instructor will have done most of it, I was talking from the perspective of someone doing it all on their own.

Pffft. I've driven manuals for most of my driving years (two Escorts, one Cavalier), our roads are quite curvy (considering all the hills around here, and we DO have roundabouts.

Don't believe all the things you see on TV. 8)

shaddup, you. :dry We've even got a roundabout in little-bitty Spring Hill, though it won't be shown on the Google Map... it's too new. :D

Go to Boston... I remember MANY roundabouts there.

Aah the good old sat nav, it's never wrong.

My sat nav still says there are loads of roundabouts in Stoke on Trent, the new flyovers were completed nearly 2 years ago so the roundabouts no longer exist :D

The A500 is a buggar on the sat nav because the layout looks the same but the exits are earlier so you miss them all
