Well... I really enjoyed last night's episode. Spot on... brought home the point that you amy consider yourself to be insignificant, but you have one hell of an imapct on those lives of the people around you... one decision can change destiny.

And... yes, D A V R O S is back... wooh hooh!


IMHO, Torchwood isn't sci-fi... it's mindless garbage, punctuated by sex or sexual innudendo.

I wouldn't go that far it's not as good as DRW it's more like a cross between Outer Limits and Stargate with each character of the team having their own story running along side the main story!

Maybe I'm too much of a prude, but sex n sci-fi don't mix in my eyes... I just want to see a good old alien fighting against us, getting blasted... rather than a Welsh copper get off with a collegaue behind her bloke's back... or Cap'n Jack tonguing his mate...

I like Stargate, Seaquest DSV, Bablyon 5... and obviously Star Trek...

With Sarah Jane Adventures and Torchwood, RTD took Dr Who from one extreme to the other...

It's always heavily insinuated in shows like Star Trek, Kirk always kissing some green bird.

My gripe with Torchwood was that it wasn't prony enough and I missed the Gwen-Cooper-in-the-shower scenes.

Don't advetise something as being raunchy when it isn't...

 

The new Battlestar galactica wouldn't be as good as it without some horny cylon bird

There'a prime example of a sci fi show trying to add something sexy to the show.

Sexy is good... full on sex isn't. It is gratuitous and takes away from the storyline IMHO. Yes, Star Trek did have kissing, but that was it.

With full on sex, you get people watching a programme merely for the pr0n element. I always think that sex is included because the producer and/or director believes that a programme won't be viewable on it's own merits.

OK... so I'm a prude...

 

And, for men my age... when is River Song gonna make a reappearance?

The girl who played the Doctors daughter Geogia Moffet is apparently dating David Tennant who plays the Dr thats pretty wierd.
