Had to reboot my linux box today for the first time in ages, seems for the last few weeks I have had a rogue process/log file on the system using heavy processor time and filling up the hard disk, it got to the point that the system was sluggish to troubleshoot due to the processor usage, so i finally rebooted it

    Code:
    soverign portage # uptime
     13:43:27 up 162 days, 17:34, 1 user, load average: 58.54, 57.13, 44.37

you shouldnt ever really see loads likes that on a home linux system in all fairness :)

unfortunatly on reboot 12gb was free on the root filesystem again, and so im gonna have a hard time tracking down the problem, shame!
im using the opertunity to get everything updated again and current, kernel was from back in june or something lol

about 1.2gb of updates available.. fun fun!

PS, Jak would like me to mention that he was part of this historic event, because i was chatting to him on MSN when i hit the reset button!
