    Passed my N+ yesterday too, what a waste of time. Most of the questions I got were about Netware and NetBUEI ffs.

    Well done, I didn't think it was a waste its useful to now how the older stuff works. We have appletalk etc at work.

    If it's a waste of time, don't bother doing it. Nobody says you have to get certified.

    It was more the fact that the questions were all on old and obsolete technologies.

    Hopefully 2009 edition will fix it.

    I've taken Network+ before... and the questions weren't all on old and obsolete technologies. If you think that's a case... then you're not likely working in IT yet. :)

    like I said before appltalk is used where I work. Only super duper blue chip companies use the latest stuff. Some places take years and years before they get onto the new stuff mainly because what they have works and is within their pre-set budget.

    New technologies cost more than older ones. We still have a pc running windows95 in the mail room.

    yep they do as they have lots of money behind them like grants etc.

    Most companies have a board of directors who would rather keep the money for their big fat pockets rather than use it for something else.
