During Covid I started to learn Spanish. I use Duolingo which is free, but I pay for no adverts. I got to day 284, and quit. I recently started back up again and am now back up to 287 days and hoping I'll keep at it for years. An excellent app.

Are you learning any other languages? What do you use?

Currently learning German Duolingo, I actually got over a 1500 day streak before I lost it. After no response from them I quit, and moved over to Busuu where I gain the CEFR level A2 (with Busuu's assessment). However due to studying for my MSc, I stopped to concentrate on those studies for a few years, but now I'm back studying German with Duolingo trying to get back to level A2.

Oh no I'm sorry you lost that streak, that must have been gutting. I'm a big fan of gamification to make things more interesting to learn. I'm glad you're back on duo mate, I see you smash it on there obviously. Do you feel fluent in German? I certainly don't in Spanish. I need to do more time per day. I'll do the minimum if I'm busy, and usually a load of sessions on the weekend

 

Currently trying to learn French – was never good at it at school but determined to try and at least get the basics.

Currently using Udemy and as my wife is French I ask her a few questions!
