I love my job :D I meet new people all the time, and get paid to talk about computers.

But then I have moved out of the day-to-day support and into a primarily training role - which helps!

Yes I enjoy my job, but I suspect like many others it has it's good days and it's bad days. There are always going to be aspects that can be repetetive or boring, but you take the bad with the good. :)

It's enjoyable as well as challenging as each day is different with task, problem solving and end user dealings. But all is all it's like any other job there comes days when I wish I was not at work but hey! every other job is like this or has days like this.

But all in all I love working in IT and computers in general:) like most other IT geeks and nerds:)

My job is awesome! I love it.

Great people, great office space, 15 minutes walk from home (or in my case 2 minutes on the train  ).
Brand new hardware. Big projects coming up (Sharepoint 2010, Exchange 2010, SQL 2010, Win 7 rollout, DPM 2010) soon. All this combined with staff lunches and laid back environment. Need I say more?

I'd advise him to find something else first as it would be wiser.

I HATE my job as it is not IT related.

I LOVE my part-time freelance IT job and I am currently seeking for a full-time job on IT.

But like many people here say, I think that any job has its ups and downs. I'd only assume that when one is doing what one enjoy, those down days are a lot easier to bear.

Well, I love being a senior content developer, creating exam questions and explanations and training others to do the same. And I loved being a network administrator in my previous job, administering just about everything (servers, firewalls, network devices) for a 500-user company. And I loved the job before that, doing hourly-rate network administration for customers.

Whenever I've disliked a job in the past, it's not usually because of the job itself... it was because of the people I had to work with. ANY job can be changed in a heartbeat by the introduction of toxic employees, incompetent contractors, or unreasonable customers.

Yes very true Boson, we have had a change of management who have nothing to do with IT but seem to think they are know alls because they have a vague idea of what an IP address is.

Sticking their nose in lately where it is not wanted and causing a big upset within our environment, i for one am looking to move on shortly.

Out of all my jobs Ive enjoyed parts of them. The feeling of helping someone or finding a solution is great! Being the go to guy.

Most of the jobs have mostly been bad though. Working in schools was good in that it was enjoyable interacting with students at times.

Sometimes though you gotta head down the job for money route.
