Hi Guys

does anyone have a suggestion of a good resource for learning about dns - i know the very basics of it - but just wanted to read/watch a video, which maybe goes in depth a little bit more - i've looked around and i've ovbiously found lots of books, just wondered if anyone with alot more knowledge than me could point me in the direction of somthing thats considered top dollar

If you have access to a windows server with DNS installed, view the help documention. There will be better resources for sure, but there is quite a lot there to get your teeth into.

 

If you search on Amazon for DNS & Cricket Liu, there's an awesome O'Reilly book on DNS by that author. You will never, ever need another reference with that in your library. I have the edition which covers W2K, there are later editions for sure but mine is perfectly adequate.

 

The Help documentation that comes with a server OS is also available verbatim on Microsoft's TechNet web site.

 

PERFECT! I found a copy of this in the local Humane Society store for CI$4. Going to buy it in the morning if it's still there to aid my 70-291 studies!
