Dell Automated PC TuneUp?

    Oh i am sure they do.. but, for example, if it's the NIC driver you need and you are connecting via ethernet, might find yourself snookered.

    Ok if you do decide to reformat Mitzs, make sure you have *all* the necessary software ie OS and chipset drivers before blowing away the default install.

    I'm not gonna mess with it like that blue. I have seen what does arise when you try to work on with out the disks. :eek: I'll just have to get them later from Dell. If something should happen before that I'll ship it back since it has a year warranty on it. I just plan to use it for surfing and my Dreamweaver cs3.:D

    DHL says it is in nashville so hopefully it will be here Monday!

    The workaround that i have found with these issues is to use Driver Genius Professional . Run the app, save all drivers installed on the machine, save data to usb / network share, format and install xp and where there were missing drivers, made a note of them, and installed this drivers app and selected the drivers that were missing.

    The app can save the drivers as a installer, zip file and more...

    Hope that helps

    Yep... but that's with any PC, not just a Dell laptop. ;)

    XP home on a business machine??........ Hope your not wanting to join a domain, if I remember rightly thats the main/only difference between Home and Pro versions.
