It was so close to where that tendon attaches they could only attach the top one

 

Holy crap... with the exception of the damage on the palm, that looks JUST like my aforementioned finger surgery... same finger, even. I had another diagonal cut on the fingertip as well. I'll have to try to remember to take a pic of the diagonal zig-zag scar and post it.

 

Ow, ow, ow! Geez. There's a *reason* I didn't go into medicine as a career.

Well here is one that explains why i dont wear rings at work! I used to have a wedding ring but kept gettingit caught on frame work so took it off, then a health and saftey lecturer showed us all this one day...

I also do not wear a watch witha metal strap, as over teh years i have experienced electric shocks from teh straps touching components!
