current job and future job aspirations

    Well my jobs 2nd and 3rd line support.

    We should have 2nd line support, but due to a small IT team and lack of funding it's down to the Hardware/Software engineers to provide the support. It's funny I was talking about this to the 1st line support manager.

    I always thought if your on the Help desk logging the calls you are surpose to get as much information off the customer as possible, such as name telephone number, problem and PC number.

    But it's usually left to the engineers to find out the important details.

    Anway, I hope move into System Administrator area.8)

    I was doing 1st/2nd line support desk based role. Just started a 3rd line role, well, the role involves doing virtually everything IT related for the firm. My aim is Systems Admin, Windows Servers & Exchange stuff.
