Not sure where this should go, but I've had some emails from CompTIA asking me to take part in a survey while they examine the possibility of such a cert.

Appears to look at the current convergence of traditional telco, networking and the like that is happening in the industry, mostly under the banner of 'NGN' (New Generation Network).

That would be an interesting topic, because as you've already said Harry, things like this are happenning. For instance more and more organisations are choosing to implement VoIP, meaning that the telephone systems suddenly fall under IT's banner.

I'd like to know how such a cert would work though.
