CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CSA+) certification

CompTIA has launched a new Security exam https://certification.comptia.org/certifications/cybersecurity-analyst it is designed to be more advanced than Security+ but less than CASP. The certification is based on vulnerability management and incident management it has a more technical focus than management.

I sat the Beta exam for this and found it to be a reasonable exam there are a few scenario based questions which were not laid out that well and you needed to keep dragging windows and minimising sections to complete the question. As I took the Beta exam there was no study material available but the certification is due to launch Q1 2017 and then they should start to release some study material.

If anyone is interested in that side of security would be worth taking a look at this and depending on price and study material could be a self-study certification.

 

I am waiting to hear if I have access to the free training being offered by Cisco for this exam (expectation is 30 hours a month is the minimum requirement for the training).

 

Should of mentioned it earlier as the beta exam was only £30! but all finished now.

 

Oops my mistake, I am looking at the Cisco Cyber Ops exam, not the CompTIA exam.
