    Hi All

Some of you may know that I'm a big Commodore fan, specifically the Amiga, but also C16 and C64. Do we have any Commodore fans on here?

I'm still waiting until I get my garage converted into an office before I buy a 1200 or 3000/4000 so in the mean time, I use WinUAE and the Cloanto files for my kickstarts and Workbench etc and recently I've bought a C64 mini and an Amiga 500 mini, so both emulators but really fun cute little machines.

Like any nerd, I like to tinker with these and modify them. For the A500 you can run something called AGS, an incredible workbench that includes a game launcher, delux paint, music and demos, all kinds, quite brilliant.

I ran sysinfo on it and it's just over 8 times faster than a stock 4000, when JIT is enbaled, happy days

I'd fancy getting into Atari STs at some point, maybe when I've got more space. I missed out on them back in the day but they look good

    Jim

Amiga 500 back in the day – regret selling it now.

Almost everyone I knew at that time that had a computer had an Amiga – most had a 500 and a few had a 600. I do remember upgrading my 500 to have 1MB RAM.

Bit curious about the Atari ST – didn’t seem to get as much attention as the Amiga 500.

Great machines. I think the ST couldn’t handle as many colours but had superior sound to generalise the difference. When I get my garage converted I’m going to get a few of these machines. Well I say that. They’re now quite expensive!
