Of course you know, in America, FORD stands for "Fix or Repair Daily". It can also mean "Found on Read Dead"

Yeah, I guess as long as you leave that rainy place behind for good, then you're right -- good investment! But...a Ford Focus Wagon? C'mon, Ryan, you can certainly do better than that!

Tell me about it. I'm heading to the UK for a week in about 3 weeks, the KY dollar is absolutely appauling at the moment.

Trying to figure out what to do to get a decent exchange from CI$ to sterling.

Congrats again by the way! And thanks for the info on the passport stuff. Will you be going for full-on citizenship?

Nah i always felt most American cars were fugly, the focus looks like the new euro one which is kind of nice
and grandpa is the head mechanic so I get a discount and free repairs, can't really argue with that for now, im on a bit of a budget till i find work! :)

Buy Japanese or German. ie: Honda, Volkswagen etc. You can run them in to the ground and they'll still carry on going.

Must explain why I own a Chrysler then...

My first choice is a prius or a civic hybrid actually, I stand by the reliability of Japanese cars any day
but i'm paying cash for this because i a) have no credit b) have no job
so its a shoestring budget until i land a job and can get a second car :)

The Prius is a great car, had the pleasure of being in one of those in Vancouver. Exceptionally quiet ride too. Highly recommend that one.

Maybe Mr. Phoenix misconstrued what 'Land of the free' actually means...? :usa:lolbang

"Land of the free" doesn't mean that just anybody can come over here to live.

That said, Ryan isn't just "anybody". :)

Good thing they don't make us "born citizens" provide proof of our productivity. Some of us might find ourselves sitting in the middle of an ocean on a life raft.

Just took the plunge and shut down my main workstation
dismantled it and packed the Mobo (with memory and cpu onboard still) GFX and sound card into my hand luggage

the 24" LCD wouldn't fit, so i had to pack that *scared look*

I'm still no where near finished, and I'm running out of room (you would be shocked how much room 700 DVDs/games takes up!)

So for the rest of the week I'm stuck on the laptop, at least it dual boots now ;)

Time to do more packing, I'll keep you posted!

So, when do you arrive in Idaho and how long will you be "local" to me before moving on? Inquiring minds want to know.

Well depends on employment, but I have to learn to drive and such before I can even think of moving, so it should be at least a month or so, probably longer :)

My BBQ is looking like it will be delayed till the following Saturday due to family availability, so provided your done with your congregation at a certain hour, we could be good! :)

So you're talking about the following Saturday, which would be the 12th. Ok, let me know where to go (be nice) and what I should bring. :)

Well, I'm not sure about "heaven". Gas is over 4 dollars a gallon and the temperature today was about 100 degrees F.
