We have a Kyocera FS-C5250dn, and it's just about given up it's ghost, having had nothing but problems with it. (Kyocera support are quite good though)

The problem I am finding with printer review websites, is that they are a bit idealistic, and don't tell you what a printer is like for long term use.

So here's what I am looking for:

    • Colour Laser
    • 10/100 Networked
    • Life of approx 100,000 sheets
    • Monthly, about 2000-3000 sheets (20 users in the office, general day to day printing)
    • Auto Duplexing
    • 500 sheet tray (250 not too bad)
    • 256MB-ish RAM
    • Cost of toner is more important than blazing speed or quality (but they are a factor)

Any recommendations, or ones to miss with a 10-foot stick?

Printerland.co.uk seem to do good offers, and include decent cashback/gifts. I really like the OKI devices at the moment due to their Free 3-Year on-site warranty.

Thanks for that. The engineer who does our photocopier when it's beyond repair recommended against Xerox, because of the solid ink.
