I was invited into the Royal enclosure once when Prince Charles was at the Airbourne Forces day in Aldershot. It was the year he had broken his wrist/arm playing Polo.
I was gobsmacked as he was well scruffy, hadn't bothered to shave or owt.

Would have been a different story if one of the lads had not bothered to shave
