Cheers for all the support and well wishing

The endorsement process is rather annoying - I've finally found a CISSP I used to work with that can endorse me, so hopefully it should be fairly simple now.

Trying to break out into a purely IS focused role is proving difficult in this climate - people seem to be after incredibly senior people (or the "safe bet" as I like to call it)

Perhaps I'll be lucky enough to see an advert for something like an Information Security Manager that requires technical experience to implement the proposed changes.... that'd be a perfect world!

Any questions or support I can give to anyone, feel free to PM me.

You don't need to be endorsed by another CISSP, you can just send your CV and the contact details of previous managers to the ISC2 and it can be done that way. That's how I got mine, I had no problems at all.

So you were very happy with the Wyboston Firebrand?

I'm considering doing their 7 day bootcamp CISSP course to get it out of the way quickly, anything I should be aware of before I go in?? I currently have the Shon Harris All in One CISSP and the official (ISC)2 Study Guide to work from, and also a good amount of experience in at least 5 of the domains.

Luckily for me endorsement isn't an issue, given the sort of work I do, I'm one of the only ones without a CISSP.

    Congrats on the pass!!
