IHI guy's I'm after a program that will allow me to test new IOS images before I put them on our live routers.

Recently I've upgrade IOS's and it's caused a few headaches so instead of spending $$$ of a test router I'm looking for emulation software.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

I'm not sure of any emulator software for that purpose.
Would it not be easier to purchase a low end router / switch for the purpose of tesing out the images and the config?
You may find that it is cheaper to do this than to buy any software.

I have to agree with simongrahamuk on this. I use VMware for the same purposes, but I've ran into a few instances where test were fine in VMware but once I made them live on the network, there were a few bugs.

I mean you can grab a Cisco 1700 or 2000 series router on Ebay for a few bills.
