    Hi Certforums,

Wondering if you can shed some light on this one...

I'm in the process of deploying another ASA into our corp network and want to re-image it onto the latest versions of ASA & ASDM.

Got the images and booted into the asa image (asa902-k8.bin) through rommon and its up and running via a TFTP copy.

    I issued the following commands:

    rommon> ADDRESS=192.168.1.1
    rommon> SERVER=192.168.1.2
    rommon> PORT=Gigabitethernet0/0
    rommon> IMAGE=asa902-k8.bin

I then issue the tftp command and it goes ahead and pulls the image from my tftp server and boots it successfully no issues there.

My problem comes when I try and save the image to Disk0 (flash) of the ASA, get the following message: not enough free disk space

When I do a #show disk0, I get output back that shows no space available, yet theres practically nothing on it!

I did an erase all from rommon before I did this so there should be plenty of space!

Google isn't helping much, maybe one of you kind fellows can sort this one out?

    Thanks!
    Brad.

**BTW, if it helps the device is a 5550**

Managed to resolve it after many hours of trawling forums... Problem looks to be with rommon not actually deleting the flash... It just fills it...

Manually formatted and reload the image, worked perfectly.
