    Dear all,

    I have got the problem with on CISCO 3600 router which is hanging on to the rom monitor. While it starts booting it states two problems
    1. Error: Memory requirements exceed available memory.
    2. System received a software crash.
    The steps I have taken to resolve this problem
    1. Try to look for valid image in flash and then boot from that one.
    2. rommon 1>MONRC=BOOT=flash:,n;
    rommon 2>sync
    rommon 3>reset
    But still I have got the same problem. My router is hanging on to the rom monitor. What should I do on this situation to resolve this problem?

    Thank you.

    Add more memory?

    I assume you just updated your IOS... each IOS has memory requirements that you've likely exceeded.
