certification advise

    hi guys,

    thanks for taking time to reply.
    I have recently graduated from computer science.

    I would like to do certifications from Microsoft, but i don't have any idea which one?

    I love programming, i have studied, C,C++,java,php,postgresql,plpgsql during college and i heard that there is a MCTS OR MCPD certification.

    how is MCTS or MCPD and can i do any of them using C# and ASP.NET not Visual Basics . . . any idea please help.

    I have read many times that certifications don't help much in the world of programming, they are taken more seriously in IT networking, server administration and technical fields.

    The best way to progress with programming is to learn as much as you can from books and implement it in your own projects. write programs, become super proficient, so that you have something tangible to show prospective employers.
