cert Forum website is well designed but ...

the contents are crappy, people whinge (whine) about certifications ...

without any constructive solutions!

People want jobs not bull!

Then go someplace else if you don't like it here. You say that CF isn't constructive but I find no constructive purpose to your post. If you have any actual and valid suggestions for improvement, send them to me in a PM and I'll make sure they're passed on to the rest of the staff. If you are just complaining for the sake of complaining, please take it elsewhere.

Funny you should say that. I've taken a look at all the threads you have started. In two of the four threads (including this one), you have asked for advice and received it. Furthermore, you have thanked the members for their help and advice. Doesnt sound like crappy contents to me. Sounds to me like you have found the forum to be most helpful in your pursuit of studies.

Everyone in this forum contributes (or the longer term members do anyway), so the greater good of certification as a whole. They: encourage people to follow suitable certs; advise on the best ways to go about getting certified; will answer any questions regarding any IT topic, whether focused on a particular course or just in general; advise on the best resources used; monitor and alert members to changes in trends/certification paths, etc; encourage people to use certification in a manner that increases the value of the certifications as a whole (hence the whole anti-BD feeling here); and so on. Furthermore, they encourage everyone to take certifications relevant to their jobs, or the jobs they wish to get into.

To be honest, I find your comments baseless. If you dont like it, and im sorry if this sounds harsh but, sling your hook! So far you yourself are guilty of the very thing you complain about. You whinge about this forum but do nothing to offer solutions, or make it a better place. I've taken the time to read each and every one of your (pitifully small posts, totally less than one per day) posts, and none of them contribute back to the community. You have been here 3 months, and are yet to make any significant contribution to the forum. You make no attempt to make it a better place, so you have no right to complain to us who do.

Everyone, I would suggest that this post is simply trolling! nothing more.

You say there are no constructive solutions, yes there are if you look closley at the replies to your posts.

You say people want jobs not bull, CF can't get you a job that is up to you not the members on here.

You seem to be someone who wants everything handed to them like a job, the world does not work like this

EDIT: if you want a job then your gonna need more than an ECDL.

 

hmmm, would have expected someone in their 50s to be, well, less childish Then again, you’re from London, the centre of all ignorant people in the whole of the British Isles (no offence to other peeps from that area who I like).

My view of this forum is completely the opposite of yours Insp, I have had nothing but helpful posts to my threads as well as a lot of useful information from other people's threads - I find it a great source of information on a lot of different things, both cert and comp related.

In fact, I have found solutions to problems here that more specialist forums have been unable to resolve (check my thread on the ubuntu graphics problem that I had). Yes some people do whine - like yourself - but they are in a very small minority and for the most part those peoples appear to misunderstand the nature of this forum. If you treat it as the extended community of like-minded people it is supposed to be then you will see what the forum and the people in it are all about.

I agree with the above guys, if you can't be constructive and your only wish is to whine for the sake of whining, please take it elsewhere.

awww, come on guys. He only has 10 post and is a newbie. We all know that ignorance stems from a lack of knowledge. You know that saying, the older you get the wiser you get? Well, maybe his will kick in soon. Hmmm?

Oh and Insp if your chocolates are outsourced. I would suggest you stop shopping at those discount stores and being so cheap and trying to pass them off as ours. Good luck because you are going to need it.

Whilst the poster has some valid point and truth to the post it still must be looked at. I am in no way supporting disrespect but must say there is some truth in the post.

Lets be honest the truth said whichever way does not always want to make you smile. I personally, lift my two hands as I have been a victim complaining in some of my post. CF is a brilliant forum so lets all be humane and nice to one and all

If the gentlemen can not find "any constructive solutions" Then maybe he needs to take up brail. I doubt there is a cert or IT question that has not been anwser on this site at one time or another. And the same questions keep getting repeatedly asked and anwsered. If he is not finding the results he wants, then he needs to ask better questions, or more questions, or just search the dam site. No reason with someone that only has 10 post unders his belt, and no exp in the field to start slinging insults when he knows nothing about technology to begin with. If he is already losing his patient with only 10 post then this field is going to beat the holy crap out of him and he should look else where for work.

 

I've still got a few posts left to get the new record!
Thing is, I can't see how anybody could complain when everybody here is very helpful.

The fact is if CF was badly designed and no-one helped then CF would not have the membership it does.

Yes you get the odd noob who just gets the advice he or she wants then you never see them again, but that does not mean they havent been helped.

The regulars on here would not be here if they didn't want to help or didn't have a common interest in obtain IT certifications and extending their knowledge.

So I am sorry to say Mr Inspector your whole statement is bollocks.
