I want to say answr = D . Source of question states answer is B. Are they saying, answr = B , because the question states that " Host B has already sent a frame to Host C " ..... therefore, the fact that the frame has already been sent , ' nullifies ' an ARP request ? Yes ?

[ Also, if Host B already sent Host C a frame .. wouldnt that mean that the SW already has knowledge of Host C's MAC .. and have already applied it to SW1's switch
    table ? ] sadly confused.

    Answer is B.

Arp request only be initiated if the switch or a router know the logical add (IP ADD) of the device which in your case is C. Since in the question no IP add is mentioned so Arp is not correct answer.
