    Hey all

Its been a while since I been here. been busy avoiding the internet  Hope everyones doing ok here. CertForums looks soo fancy and very professional, great work guys :biggrin

Anyway, I need some help with my career progression. I recently took an Foundation ISTQB exam which I have been studying for six months and I didnt pass. It didnt even say on the result paper how close I was to getting the 26 questions right :( My studying was 9-5 mon to fri so I didnt take a half hearted attempted to take it. Its strange I thought the MCP I took six years ago was hard but I have to admit I was really struggling to learn this time around.
The reason why I took the ISTQB exam was to extend my IT job search and more importantly improve on my salary. Salary wise it was likely everyone was taking pay cuts for the last year or so and in my last contract job I took a pay cut to accept the work. And this work was probably the hardess I ever worked and it showed. I am curious to know if I can still look for software testing roles (without the ISTQB cert) or something to help improve my experience in software testing. What can I state on my CV or cover letter to improve my outcome on getting tester jobs?
From the search I done, theres a few test tools I am planning on using: selenium, agile and HP quality center.
I still like doing 1st line support but I was also open to do freelance software testing on evenings or weekends if thats such a good idea?
