Bye Bye Bulldog

    As am going to be moving house i've decided to cancel bulldog :biggrin

    I think the service hasn't been great:

    1)Quite often dont get a bill for a month ot two then they send you a bill for three months service :eek:

    2)The service hasn't been great recently

    3)There IVR systen is horrible, I have had to ring the same number 7 times to get through to the correct department.

    Going to go onto Zen so I can get some static IP's for my home lab.

    Well the bulldog muppetry continued this month, yesterday I got sent a bill the first time since August. I know it partially my fault for not chasing this up. But come on bulldog not much to ask to sent a bill out is it? :x :x

    Id suggest that IVR would be Interactive Voice Recognition? in the given context it would mean those damn automated phone systems which do this 'at the tone, please state the name of the person you wish to speak to' and then try to match it to one of a billion names in its system.

    That, or as Noel suggested it could be the 'press one to get disconnected without delay' stuff.

    Interactive Voice Response lets you use a telephone to access data form a database. It gets used a lot for phone banking and customer account enquiries, or when you phone the cinema to book a ticket.
    It's generally rubbish, but not as bad as phoning Dell and speaking to a live person...

    bulldog finally send me an email saying my account had been cancelled, 4 months after i had moved to dell

    but they are still sending me bills, LOL

    so they have been charging you for four months :eek:

    am just going to cancel my credit card soon as the bill comes

    bulldog need som ehelp in the billing department me thinks? I used to work at telewest about 6 years ago and they had similar problems with direct debits!

    Bulldog seem to be running a hopeless operation in general.

    I decided not to even consider their service after i saw them regularly setting up a stand outside my local somerfield supermarket and pestering shoppers on their way in and out....what is up with that? smacks of desperation to me! pppshhh, hehe :biggrin

    Some fair points raised above, but can I point our that we are an IT certfication forum first and foremost, not a slating ground for ISPs. This ain't adslguide or ispreview. Those boards can take the wrap for disgruntled customers - but not here, thanks.

    Had Zen for a couple of days and the performance is much better than Bulldog :)
