Broken RAM - how to check?

    I have now removed the 256MB chip, leaving the 1GB in on its own, to see if it is more stable.

    i'm afraid you'r right. I've seen it in a few computers I was upgrading in my company. MB BIOS upgrade helped in 2 PC's.
