Well now I've got thru' that order I can get outa the workshop.

Many of ye will know me, for those newun's to our lil townstead I'm Eig, the local boywer, fletcher and generally woodworker slave, er, peon, er independant person who makes up his own mind..

We've had our run of blood around here, 'ave you ever seen a ruptured chest? No, a torn thigh? No? A savaged neck? No? Well I'd love to say yer in for a treat but we seem to have a small problem of nibblers these days instead of full blown tearers, n'v'r the mind though, the outcome appears to be the same.

You'll all of 'eard that a good staking is in order, will a good arrow n' bolt will do just as good a job and get em from a distance, in fact with the new Deadbolt 1605 you can get a good silver tipped rifled stake-bolt an inch past the heart and through cured leather, got a few of these babies ready for those that want, but that MKII on the walls me own, triple firing for extra stopping power.

I'll be putting my firepower behind Fleix there for Mayor (Felix for Mayor as his solid arms should be able to wield two of these beauties at once, plus he said he buy me a beer.

Until pub time my friends. I'll replace the practice targets behind the bar later, got a few more smoked wolf bodies left, best to practice with something that gives the right resistance.

I be voting fer Felix as Mayor, but only coz he's offered to build my next boat... he tells me that stone won't let the water in, and I reckon that's what I needs when sailing on the High Seas. Job's a good'un.

 

Well, all it would take is for Felix to vote for himself and he'd get it... so let's just go ahead and say he's now Mayor Felix.

Maria knows the game has started, but just hasn't joined in. Haven't seen hide nor hair of Doc Hogg. We'll have to start up without him.

 

Day 1

Bosonville, twice abandoned, is often talked about in hushed tones as a cursed place where werewolves once roamed. But it has been years since even a dog has bitten any of the new crop of villagers who have since moved into the area.

However, the villagers will soon discover that there might be something to the tales and legends.

Dawn has just broken. A young man stumbles out of the woods into the town square, finally falling to the ground. The few villagers who are up and about this early in the morning rush over to him to find that he is pale... and dead. Two red, bleeding marks are discovered on his neck.

The Villagers hear of the news and begin assembling in the Town Square, and the wild tales begin. However, unlike the old tales of werewolves roaming the area, the tales this time are about vampires... and of the possibility that the vampires might be living amongst them.

An old lady steps up and says, "Bosonville is cursed! Cursed! We are fools to have moved here!" She clutches the cross hanging around her neck. "Heed my warnings! Protect yourself and your families!" She limps away as quickly as she can.

The Villagers begin accusing one another of strange behaviors, while others nervously deflect accusations made towards them. It is clear that the Villagers want to quickly get to the bottom of the mystery, find out who the Vampire or Vampires might be, and serve some Village-style justice.

You may now nominate people to be Staked. Once the voting starts, it will continue for 12 hours. If the accused gets more votes than votes, he will be Staked and night will fall. If not, nominations will continue; if someone had previously been nominated once, all it takes is a second to begin the next round of voting.

Quick note - I will be going on vacation tomorrow through Tuesday. I am unsure whether I will have Internet access, but if I do, I will check in.

Several of you have actions that are carried out at night. I have heard from most of you regarding Night 1. However, if you have not yet responded with your actions, or you would like to change your actions, please do so between now and the beginning of Day 2.

I dont trust that mayor - shifty he is I think he should be put to the stake!

 

Ah, yes. Classic case of aggravated assault and battery according to the Criminal Justice Act.

I'll be happy to offer my services to the young man on a 'no win, no fee' basis. He's probably entitled to some kind of compensation.

Well by viewing him as only an outsider can, I have seen certain tendencies, the flutter of panic at the smell of garlic, his avoidance of houses of worship and not forget the smile I saw on him at the sight of that poor boys wounds. If anything I would say he looked Satisfied.

Now all of this is circumstantial, but I think you will agree, troubling in these uncertain times. Can the village risk a vampire as a leader? I have listened to the old womans tales of the previous unlucky inhabitants of this fair village and in that tail of woe improper care was taken in an election during troubled times and they elected the first person that came
