I maked my ISO with PowerISO from my self pace training kit book & I have also use and try full copy of serve03. In VM the ISO doesn't boot !


Have checked in VM:
In the boot order cd is at top of list
On VM Connect at power on is ticked on
unc is right - pointing to ISO file.

So how do I make my ISO bootable? Looing at other software magiciso FAQ load the bootable image from floppy disk. what this and what the txt on the floppy disk.

have you mounted the iso to the cd drive?

 

no this is in VMware

I use Deamon tools for mounting the ISO. this iso is an os save me having to carry cds round with me just use ex drive.

 

adding autorun settings does NOT make the CD bootable
it needs to have an actual boot sector

i notice your using a debian iso from the looks of things, did you download it? it should be bootable
