    Hi all,

This is my first post. Please let me know if I did this incorrectly.

I have an old Lenovo thinkpad T430. I wanted to know what would be a good distro to install for practice. I do not want to install windows on it currently, just linux. What would be a good one to use to learn for a cert? I would like to use Cent O/S, but not sure how it work with this laptop or if it would be a good one for cert tests. I tried an old copy of Fedora and everything works, but it is old and was just an experiment.

    Thank you

Well Ubuntu is a good choice. If you want to test CentOS you could run a bootable live USB drive which contains the OS and see how it runs without actually installing it.
If you just want to use Linux for learning purposes, you might want to consider installing it in a VM, or even spinning an instance up in Azure/AWS.
