was just looking at the users logged on in the last 24hrs and there seems to be alot of banned names in fact a hell of a lot. was wondering is this unusually high or a common problem.

Umm... it looks unusually high. I've seen 2 or 3 in the past. Mind you the number of people in total online in the past 24 hours seems little higher than normal anyway.

Now call me suspicious or over cynical on this, but as most of you know I am on here a lot and even when I am not logged in I scour the site quite alot.

This problem with spammers has (to me anyway) got worse since god/eternal angel and that hacker guy (can't remember his name) got banned.

Around the time the hacker guy got banned the site started to experience more and more database failures.

I am being cynical or do I have my poirot hat on

Edit: is it possible for someone to use the site without the site knowing IP address?

 

IMHO on other forums - the site records a members ip address once they've logged in and creates an history. Not sure about lurkers though?

 

Actually, if you see one of these posts, just click the "Report" (Exclamation mark) button. The staff will get an alert and the first one who sees it will get to it. If you just PM one of us, it might not get taken care of until the person you PMed logs on.
